Emerald, the birthstone for May, is the most valuable variety of beryl and one
of the world’s most precious stones. Its brilliant green is unmatched by any other stone.
Emeralds are rarely flawless, so they are often oiled to solve the inner marks and add depth to
the color. The process is regarded normal and widely accepted in the market.
The bright green emerald represents spring and new birth. To the Romans it
represented fertility and rebirth. It is also said to represent wisdom, growth and patience.
A gift of emerald represents love and fidelity.

Pearl is the birthstone for June. It is a sought-after natural material which makes

factors. Akoya, Cortez, Mabe, South Sea and Tahitian pearls are some of the most popular
varieties, each of which has its own set of qualities.
Arabian legend say pearls are drops of the moon that oyster has fallen in love
with. The Chinese believed that the pearl came from the brain of the dragon. The elegant
pearl brings to the June-born its qualities of modesty and purity.
Moonstone is considered an alternative to pearl as the Birthstone for June.
